Robert DeNiro plays Vincent LaMarca, a respected NYPD detective. The boyhood shame of his father’s murder conviction plagues him throughout his life. His estranged son, Joey has become a drug addict. In a hopeless attempt to raise money to start a new life, Joey gets involved in the murder of a notorious drug dealer. While fleeing the law, Joey is wrongfully accused of the murder of a police officer - Vincent’s partner. Convinced that his son is guilty, Vincent sets out to capture his own son, and bring him to justice.
